You should say:
• What the story/novel is
• What it is about
• Why you find it interesting
说起书,我相信每个人都有至少一本印象深刻的,只是从来没有想过
那我们来听一下这篇样文吧。
My all time favorite is Into the Wild, one of the nonfiction bestsellers by Jon Krakauer. Once published, it was then adapted into a movie, written and directed by Sean Penn. The story itself is beautiful, deep, heart-breaking and in the meantime, very, very touching.
The story begins with a young adult, Christopher McCandless, who graduated from a prestigious medical school on the Dean’s list. He is traumatized by his parents failed marriage, and decided go off on an adventure to Alaska, seeking out the true meaning in life. This arrogant yet innocent young man was very determined to prove that he shares no similar values with his family. He burned most of his finances and donated the rest to the charity, with his assertive faith that he is able to survive without money. Throughout his time on the road, he has met a colorful variety of people and learnt a great deal from their experience and trades. Finally, he made it to Alaska. Unfortunately, due to the lack of preparation and life skills, he died, in the massive land, presenting the closure to his self-discovery.
I am obsessed with the story because it resonates with nearly everybody’s juvenile mentality. Our adventurousness propels us to prove our worth to the world, but only ends up we being blown by the reality from time to time. I definitely applaud for Christopher’s courage, integrity and his determination to live up to his dreams. On the other hand, his tragedy alerts us that we should always take a step back, and ensure this is the road needs to be headed.
