雅思写作环境类话题真题解析

在不久前温哥华的考试中，大作文考了这样一道题目：

Some people think climate change will bring businessopportunities, while others believe that it will only bring negativity. Discussboth views and give your own opinion.

环境类的话题是永远的热门，下面就来看看这道题目的解析吧～

首先，开头段的写法是“简单的背景引入+改写题目+表达自己的立场”：

“Climate change has become a global problem in the21^st century. Some people hold the view that it will merely giverise to challenges on human society. However, I disagree with the statementbecause it will give rise to advantages as well, such as businessopportunities.”

第二段要求表明对方观点及其理由。比如：

“Climate change doeslead to an increased risk of disasters. It has proved that rising temperaturesin the Arctic are causing the Polar ice cap to melt, which in turn is leadingto rising sea levels and floods. As a consequence, residents living inlow-altitude areas are likely to face the danger of becoming homeless becausetheir houses might be submerged. In addition, they will suffer from financiallosses due to the reason that the floods might inundate crops and cattle, whichwill also decrease food productivity and aggravate food shortages.”除此之外，气候变化带来的负面影响还包括rainstorms, heatwaves and other extremeweather conditions, energy efficiency and waste, increasing living costs等等。

第三段的第一句话可以写一个承上启下的让步句，既反驳题目中“only bring negativity”这样绝对的措辞，又引出下文对于积极影响的讨论：

“However,everything has both bright and dark sides. It cannot be neglected that climatechange also opens up business opportunities for a number of companies.” 比如为了 减少温室气体排放（reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases）, 很多公司已经开始extend industry chains anddevelop low-carbon products, such as energy-efficient lightbulbs and electricvehicles；有些公司advance technology to increase theefficiency of energy use in terms of using renewable energy, including solar,tide and wind power。

最后，和大家分享一些气候变化问题常用的词汇：

solar panels, environmental-friendly,achieve a sustainable development, long-term consequences, illegal logging anddeforestation, burning fossil fuels, international action/cooperation, solve/dealwith/cope with/tackle, alleviate/eliminate。
