是不是用了连接词就算是连贯了？

欢迎大家阅读＃雅思写作这么楠＃, Nick会在这个栏目里和大家定期探讨关于雅思写作的各种问题。

可能因为nick反复强调文意连接的重要性，在过去一段时间的执教中发现好多学生在写文章的时候开始有意识的使用了条理性很强的信号词。这本身是好事，但读了很多学生的作品后发现不但没达到我想要的连接效果，反而让文章呈现了一种非常僵硬或机械的感觉。

比如这一段：

Nowadays, it’s hard for the person who has already got out of the jail to look for the work. Thus, there are many different reasons for their high unemployment rate. Therefore, it has some negative influence on these people.

很明显，这段话中间段两个连接词并没有起到连接的作用，thus和therefore都代表因此，但上句：从监狱走出的人很难寻觅工作；与下句：他们失业率很高  并无因果关系，自然也称不上“因此”而对他们产生消极影响。

我建议可以将此段改为：

Nowadays, as it is hard for those who are released from jails to find a job, many people are wondering the reasons for their high unemployment rate as well as the associated detrimental effects.

那么下面和大家浅谈下段落之间的连接：

宏观，指的是段落之间的连接。在大作文的观点确定了之后，每一个段落都代表着一个独立的论点。论点之间的逻辑关系无外乎就是顺承，并列和转折三种关系。除了使用一些连接表达（比如 comparing with the point mentioned, what equally important is...）以外，更重要的是确保两个分论点之间在意义上的确实现连接词的逻辑关系。比如：

I agree with using punishment to educate kids.

point 1: for deeper memory

point 2: for preventing potential mistakes

point 3: use punishments within an appropriate extent

明显point 1和point 2是同一个观点中的两个点，那我们可以使用刚才推荐的词；然而point 3明显是一个转折，所以我们可以如此连接：Even though the profits of punishments are admitted, the extent of using it also should be taken into consideration.
