Describe asituation when you were late for an appointment.

You should say:

When was it?

Why were youlate?

How did you feelabout it?

根据话题卡问题的提示，很明显，Why were you late，是你需要花最多时间来讲述的，而它也是我们备考阶段中最容易准备的。关于迟到的原因，我建议，对这个情景不是很熟悉的同学从天气和交通这两个角度说，因为这两个角度很有画面感，能给你足够多的发挥空间，当然，如果你真的有一个令人激动的关于迟到的好故事可以说，那也无妨。

Well, I’m notusually late for my appointments;

Actually, I’mquite the opposite. But I guess nobody can always be on time, right?

About one monthago, I was late for a group meeting with my group mates. We were supposed tomeet at around 9am to discuss a project that we had been working on for almostthree months. One of the big problems was that there was a lot of rain that dayand the traffic was really bad. It was a journey that I had done several timesbefore, so I knew roughly how much the time it took. And I planned as I wouldnormally do. However, because of the heavy rain and the heavy traffic, it tooka lot longer than normal. And I ended up being approximately 20 minutes latefor the meeting.

When I arrived,my group mates didn’treally look upset for the waiting, even though they all arrived on time. However, I felt really bad about myselfbecause I made three people wait for me. After that time, I learned a lesson,which is, if I ever have an appointment under a bad weather condition again, Iwould definitely leave home earlier than usual!
