“旅⾏的意义” 口语Part 2话题卡

放假了你们是不是都在旅游呢？尽管加拿⼤最近冰天雪地，road trip依然是近期Part2/3常考的话题。准备好一个实⽤的答案可以帮助你换用到很多相似的考题，如：

activity you do to stay healthy, interesting place that few people know, something you want to do for a long time but you haven’t done yet, activity near water, a city you’ve been to 等等。小烤鸭们看到这题brainstorm了了哪些点和细节呢？

part 2 话题：Describe a (long) car journey you went on

直接开头：

In terms of/regarding/speaking of a road trip I went on in recent years, the most memorable was…

间接开头：

可铺设road trip普遍性的背景: As far as I know/notice, one way of vacationing in Canadian culture is taking your car out for a 3-day ride.

思路分析：

1) Where you went

• remote island/suburbs

• neighbouring city/province

• a city off the west coast

具体展开: residents (hospitable, welcoming (dinner invite/offer you a variety of food, inviting),

climatic environment (mild, tropical, humid, typical plateau, ideal living, inclement weather, tranquil and peaceful, water shortage, popular tourist destination),

infrastructure (well/poorly-developed) – public facilities, transit system, schools, parks

2) When you went there (+ with whom)

3) What you did in the trip

• topic sentence:

Overall, to the best of my recollection, now I revisit it/think of it, it was a memorable/fascinating/educational/impressive trip

• reasons:

- (on top of everything) precious opportunity to bond/reconnect with my friends & family

- the trip allowed to embrace the nature while away from the stressful work

- enjoy/admire/appreciate the view/scenery along the road (magnificent cliffs, enjoy watching snow caps from afar, was impressed with the wildlife habitat, fresh air)

- bird-watching, do the sights

- local cuisine/specialty –in particular, rice wine and roast chicken made/served by the aboriginal people

- wandering around/strolling around the tourist spots/ unwind (relax) and take off anxiety and stress/frustration in mind

4) And explain why you went there by car.

• short distance/flight-unnecessary/costly, (car) more economical/affordable

• enhance your relationships with... (spend quality time on the road, got company from…,look out for/take care of each other, have someone to share the experience/memory with)
