怎样写出漂亮的长难句？

在批阅学生们的雅思作文时，我们发现很多学生经常大量地使用“主语+谓语”或者“主语+谓语+宾语”结构的简单句。但是，根据雅思写作评分标准，高分段的学生需要做到运用各种复杂的语法结构。下面就来看一看都有哪些方法可以帮助大家写出漂亮加分的长难句吧！

1.主句+从句。

(1)宾语从句：如someone takes it in account (认为), someone takes it into granted (认为什么理所当然), it作为形式宾语等等。

E.g. It is generally acknowledged that the relationship among family members is now not as close as it used to be.

(2)定语从句：

E.g. One of the most significant reasons why the gap of living in urban areas and the villages is becoming increasingly wider is the lack of public infrastructure in the countryside.

(3)主语从句：That+句子+ makes it+ adj.+ (for sb.) to do sth. /句子

E.g. That the government invests more in arts like music and painting, makes it possible that the cities and towns become more attractive places to live in.

(4)非谓语结构：Given +名词/ Given that+句子

E.g. Given that most young couples are too occupied to consider having babies, it is therefore imperative that they put off their parenthood.

(5)状语从句：

E.g. Although women are widely regarded as the disadvantaged groups in the society, they possess the disposition to compromise and are inclined to solve problems through peaceful means.

2.倒装，强调或者虚拟。

(1)倒装：Only...can.../Not only...but also.../Be it...or (不管是...还是...)

(2)强调：It is...that.../It is...who (正是......导致了......)

(3)虚拟：If...were...,...would... (注意在虚拟语气中，this和that后都要用were而不是was)

3.长句加短语的结合。

如在句子后面加入限定成分especially in cities/countries/modern society, both in cities and on motorways, in this respect, etc.

E.g. People need to feel that they are doing valued and valuable work, so positive feedback from superiors is very important in this respect.

4.用连词进行扩展

例如用such as, for example, instead of, as well as等等。

E.g. Being a celebrity—such as a famous film star or sports personality—brings problems as well as benefit.

In terms of(在......方面), for the sake of(为了改善......), regardless of (不管......)其实也是复杂句的三大绝活。

例如：(1) These children are often spoilt, not in terms of love and attention because working parents do not have time for this.

(2) ...for the sake of their health

(3) regardless of the price

当然，长难句的写法还有很多，希望大家可以多研读范文，并且真正用于平时的写作当中。但这并不意味，所有的句子都得由长难句来完成，因为长难句是起到画龙点睛之笔的作用，同时也需要短句来调节考官的阅读节奏。
