写作中的连接词你都用对了吗？

雅思写作一直是烤鸭们需要攻克的难题，那么写作方面的秘籍有什么呢？很显然，当下，靠写作模板通关的方法已经out了。参照雅思官方发布的写作评分标准中，”连贯与衔接”（Coherence and Cohesion）是四大标准之一。不难看出，雅思写作对于英文写作逻辑是十分重视的。那么，到底好的连贯性和衔接性是怎么体现的呢？一般来说，文章的连贯性主要体现在段落与段落之间，句子与句子之间。

很多烤鸭也知道，表达连接的词组无非就那几类，比如“让步”、“并列”、“转折”、“因果”等等。但是，在写作的时候，你真的会用它们吗？你能够正确使用它们吗？这些看似简单的词语，在实际写作中却不容易掌握。根据近几年学生作文的情况来看，大部分学生都开始有意识的使用连接词来达到语篇的逻辑连贯，但在使用上仍存在问题.连接词本身是比较繁琐的，学好这些连接词首先要把它们的词性和使用方法搞清楚。今天，我们就要一起来看一看一些易错的连接词在雅思作文中的使用。

1.for example和such as

For example和such as都是表举例的词组，但是常常会有些同学认为这两组词可以替换。实则不然。For example后面跟的是句子，而such as后面跟的是词或者词组。

例：Young people begin smoking for a variety reasons, such as pressure from peers and the role model of parents.

Young people begin smoking for a variety reasons. For example, they might be influenced by their peers who are smoking.

2.whereas,和however

whereas是连接两个独立的句子的连词，中间用逗号隔开，并用于逗号后。同一个句子中，前半部分和后半部分表达的是两种不同观点。尽管however也是连接两个句子，但是如果把however放在中间，则要么用分号，要么用句号分开两个句子。however前一句与后一句表达的呈相反意。

例：Some people believe that schools are responsible for the behaviour of their students, whereas others argue that discipline is the responsibility of parents.

Some people believe that schools are responsible for the behaviour of their students. However, others argue that discipline is the responsibility of parents.

3.on the other hand 和moreover

on the other hand不是用来表示“另外”这样承接的意思。它有表示对比的含义，和by contrast/ in comparison/ conversely是有类似用法的。而moreover，furthermore，secondly这组词都是承接第二个并列的观点，没有对比的意思。

例：

Nowadays many young people prefer online shopping. On the other hand, many over-mid-aged people still would like to shop in stores.

Many young people enjoy online shopping because, firstly, it saves time. Further, online shopping saves money.

4.in contrast和on the contrary

In contrast表示对比，用于两个可做对比的句子之间，对比的可以是不同的主体。而on the contrary不是用来对比两者的。这个词是用在论述同一件事物的正反两方面时，否定之前说的前半部分，后半部分恰好是前半部分相反的表达。

例：Unemployment grew up in Toronto. By contrast, the number of unemployed people in Beijing dropped.

There would be more receptiveness to the new law in some area. On the contrary, survey shows that only 7.5% of people approve of it.

5.despite, in spite of 和although

虽然despite，in spite of和although都有“尽管、虽然”的意味，但是despite/ in spite of这两组词和although的用法不能划等号。Despite和In spite of后面不能接句子。而although/though/even though后面是跟表让步的句子。

例：Although learning computer skills has several apparent benefits for young children, the disadvantages of it cannot be denied.

Despite/in spite of the benefits of learning computer skills, there are several major disadvantages for young children.

Despite/in spite the fact that learning computer skills may be more beneficial to young children, there are still several major doubts about that.

下面，我们把雅思写作中常用到的逻辑连词按照分类整理如下：

(1)表示递进：and, also, too, in addition, moreover, besides ,furthermore, not only… but also…, along with, next, what’s more.

(2)表示时间: after, before, soon, when, until, during, immediately, then.

(3)表示举例: for example, for instance, such as, that is, in other words, in fact.

(4)表示相同即第二个观点在某些方面和第一个观点相似：Like, as, similarly, in the some way, as well, too, equally, likewise.

(5)表示不同，即观点和我们所期望的观点不同(读者需要对下一句的意思转换做好准备)：Unlike, in contrast with\to, whereas, on the contrary, on the other hand, instead, but, however, yet, although, nevertheless, even though, in spite of, despite, rather than.

(6)表示因果：since, because, due to, owing to, for, as, because of, on account of, as a result, therefore, thus, hence, so, consequently, so…that.

(7)表示目的：in order to, in the hope that, so as to, so that.

(8)表示总结 in conclusion, on the whole, to conclude, to sum up, finally, at last.

(9)表示顺序：first, then, next, after that, finally, last of all, still, soon, later, initially.

(10)表示条件：if, unless, on condition that, as long as, in case, suppose.
